How To Redesign Your Bedroom On A Small Budget

Is your bedroom the same as it has been for the past 20 years? Want to turn it into a fun and cool bedroom without spending a lot of money on new furniture? We have some ideas to do just that – redesign your bedroom on a budget!

Paint Wall.

Nothing freshens a room like a fresh coat of paint. Make it a weekend project and get your kids involved – you can do something together and, at the same time, create a new bedroom that you need.

We do not recommend painting the bedroom walls in bright colors. Beige, peach, light, baby blue, and green work best. Make sure your new wall color matches your furniture because you’re not buying new furniture.

Organize your bedroom.

Sometimes organization is all a room needs to look completely different. Many bedrooms are filled with children’s toys, old clothes, and even dishes that should be in the kitchen.

Put those things away, and organize the rest of the room so it looks completely different.

Rearrange the furniture.

Sometimes the best way to decorate without a budget is to use the same items but rearrange them and add something else to the mix.

Walk around your home

you’ll likely find an armchair in the basement, or a chair in the family room that looks great in the bedroom. Use it to create a new bedroom – along with your old furniture.

New wall art.

Add a splash of color to a room (or borrow some artwork from another room) with some new wall art. Another idea is to frame some pictures of your kids or make up some of your own.

New bedding, pillows, and sheets. It’s amazing how much you can transform a room by adding just one new element. Pick out some new bedding or sheets you really want, and splurge on them! You’ll have a great-looking bedroom in no time.

Remember, updating a room doesn’t mean buying everything new for it. Use some (or all) of our ideas to completely redesign your bedroom. You’ll be glad you did.
