The country has three major geographical features which make it an ideal country to reside and visit. The great Himalayas in the north protects the country from the cold winds of China. They also offer great sightseeing and are one of the most challenging adventures out there. The Great Plains of the central mainland are fed by some of the world’s most prominent rivers. The Ganges challenges the rafters to the excitement of white water as well as providing food for almost the entire country. Then there is the Deccan Plateau to the south and the Indian Ocean. They are the completely topographical scenes of India.
History:
Historically, India is probably the richest country in the world. It was home to the world’s oldest civilization, the Indus Valley. The civilization dates back to around 3000 BC. India has given birth to two of the largest religions in the world. The country has a diverse culture and this is evident from the fact that there are an equal number of Hindu and Muslim monuments.

The political landscape of the country is controlled by the capital of the country, Delhi. It has been a historical city, home to the Red Fort, the embodiment of the Mughal rule in India. Delhi is also famous for its markets and monuments. It is a must-visit for tourists as embassies and high commissions are located here. Today Delhi is the center of urbanization. From MNCs to domestic giants, everyone has their headquarters in Delhi. It is also highly urbanized and has many universities for higher education. The city is well connected to the entire country by rail and air and domestic transport is also very easy as there is a well-organized network of metro trains.

If Delhi is the political capital, then Bombay can easily be called the commercial capital of the country. The city is a mix of different religions and nationalities. Bombay, now called Mumbai, has a very fast life and a full schedule. In this, the country’s most prized possession is Bollywood (Indian film industry). It also houses Dalal Street, the Indian counterpart of Wall Street. It is a witness to the economic ups and downs of the countries.
